Our Origin Story

James started his career in software development in 2016 after dropping out of college to build an Ed-Tech platform. With only a small amount of capital raised from family and friends, his options were limited. He could either offshore the product development or pay a US-based agency hundreds of thousands of dollars for an MVP.

Inevitably, offshoring was the only feasible option. After starting the build, he was immediately faced with communication issues, conflicting time zones, and scope creep. After six months, he disappointingly had an unfinished product. This experience inspired him to start OneSeven Tech - a product development agency built with the core principles of transparency, communication, and quality delivery in mind. Inevitably that pivoted and became what OneSeven Tech is today, an outcomes driven applied AI company.

Every engagement starts with the same question: where is this business spending money on work a machine should be doing? We find it, we price it, and we remove it.

We'd rather bring a working prototype to the second meeting than a better deck. If we say a system can do something, we've usually already built the part that proves it.
